Conor McGregor insists his warrior spirit still “burns strong” – despite his lengthy hiatus from fighting.
The former two-division UFC champion hasn’t fought in the cage since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

McGregor, 36, was expected to return to action against Michael Chandler last June but was forced to withdraw from their fight due to a broken toe.
The Irishman has seemingly prioritized other ventures recently but is adamant he’ll fight again, possibly outside of the UFC octagon.
He stated: “The warrior spirit burns strong inside me. For sure.”
“If you think I’m giving these speeches and leading these men into battle and I won’t step in there myself, think again.”
“For sure. Conor McGregor will fight in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship – mark my words.”
McGregor’s comments come shortly after UFC president Dana White expressed uncertainty about McGregor’s future in the UFC.
When questioned about McGregor at a UFC Fight Night 250 press conference last month, White responded: “Conor? Um… Not sure when Conor will be back.”
McGregor was also rumored to be considering a crossover boxing match with YouTube star Logan Paul last year.
While the UFC wasn’t keen on the idea, McGregor seems interested in exploring influencer boxing.
He told The Schmo: “I’m more inclined now for this influencer, f***ing whatever you call it.”
“Because it’s astronomical money. It’s astronomical, the figures.”
“Who is there? Jake Paul, Logan, and KSI.”
“I like the three of these guys and then all these other ones that are tussling around.”
McGregor’s next fight, if it happens, will be his first since being found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand at a Dublin Hotel in December 2018.
McGregor has appealed the verdict from the Dublin High Court in November.
