Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, a former champion in three weight divisions, has secured five world titles and currently holds the No. 10 spot in ESPN’s pound-for-pound rankings. Within the lightweight category, he is ranked No. 3 by ESPN. Davis first gained the IBF junior lightweight title by defeating José Pedraza in 2017. He later added the WBA junior lightweight title to his achievements in 2018 with a win over Jesús Cuellar. Moving up in weight in 2019, Davis captured the WBA (regular) lightweight title by TKO against Yuriorkis Gamboa. His collection of belts expanded in 2021 when he won the WBA (super) junior welterweight title through a unanimous decision victory against Issac Cruz. His last title defense was on June 15 against Frank Martin.
