Jack Draper has jokingly said that he doesn’t quite match the expectations set by his nickname.
The 23-year-old, who also works as a model, is called ‘Big D’ by some tennis fans.

The British No.1 himself acknowledges that he might not fully embody the ‘Big D’ persona.
In an old interview from 2023 where the ‘Big D’ nickname was mentioned to him, he responded with humor: “Big D! It’s a shame because I don’t have one. Sorry!”
Draper has often heard positive comments about his name over the years, noting its potential suitability for a James Bond character.
He mentioned: “People often say, ‘Oh, I like your name Jack Draper.’ Many international people also tell me, ‘I love your name, it’s amazing.’”
Draper recently achieved his first ATP Masters 1000 title with a significant win against Holger Rune at Indian Wells.
After his quick victory over Rune, he commented: “Winning here feels incredible. I’ve watched this tournament since childhood, seeing champions on this court. Being a champion here means the world to me.”

“This is definitely a huge moment for me. Breaking into the top 10 and winning my first Masters title boosts my self-belief and confidence.”
“Coming into today, I knew it was a final. I felt a bit nervous beforehand, but once on the court, I felt great. I felt in control and knew what I needed to do.”
