A tennis player lost his temper spectacularly, smashing his racket repeatedly and unleashing an expletive-filled tirade following a painful tie-break loss.
Tristan Boyer’s frustration boiled over due to disagreements with the umpire’s calls during a tight match against Alex Bolt, who is the boyfriend of British tennis player Katie Swan.

American player Boyer, aged 23, was defeated by the Australian Alex Bolt in the first round of the San Diego Open with a score of 3-6, 6-7.
Swan, aged 25, Bolt’s partner, previously joked about the “stressful Wag life” last summer after witnessing him overcome match point to qualify for Wimbledon.
The British player might have experienced even more anxiety watching the dramatic conclusion of Bolt’s match against Boyer.
The initial outburst occurred when Boyer was a set down and the score was tied at 4-4 in the crucial tie-break.
As Boyer prepared to serve, bouncing the ball, chair umpire Nick Flentie issued him a time violation.
Following this, Boyer served, only to have Flentie controversially call his subsequent shot long.
Boyer seemed frustrated by both decisions, managing to contain his emotions, but only momentarily.
When he then hit the ball into the net on match point, his true feelings erupted.

He shouted loudly and slammed his racket into the court multiple times.
Boyer left the damaged racket near the baseline before approaching the net to shake hands with Bolt and then direct his anger towards Flentie.
He exclaimed, “Unbelievable! It’s ridiculous. You guys can’t get anything right.”
“God, it’s infuriating. Absolutely infuriating.”
“Everywhere I look, terrible calls. Just awful calls.”
Boyer then protested the time violation penalty he had received.
Waving his arms in frustration, he questioned, “Why are you giving me a time violation?”
“There are only three people here! Three people watching me! It’s the first round, it’s absurd. We’re not on television, nobody’s watching, no one is streaming this. You’re being ridiculous.”
Flentie calmly responded, “We see it differently.”
“We’re not going to simply bend the rules.”
This response did not appease Boyer.
The player continued his verbal barrage as he exited the court.
In a final act of frustration, he picked up his broken racket and smashed it one last time against the ground.
Throughout this, Bolt remained detached from the situation.
Tennis enthusiasts were charmed last year by the exchange of affectionate messages between the two-time Australian Open men’s doubles quarter-finalist and Swan on Instagram.
The couple has also shared heartwarming photos together, including an embrace after an emotional Bolt successfully qualified for Wimbledon.
