Tom Aspinall is scheduled to meet with UFC officials soon to discuss his upcoming fight, which is expected to be against Jon Jones.
Discussions for a highly anticipated heavyweight title unification fight between the interim champion and the undisputed champion began in late 2024.

Aspinall recently indicated that the fight is closer to being finalized, stating that Jones’ side has agreed to terms, despite Jones initially demanding a very high payout.
Aspinall will meet with UFC management soon to discuss the next steps in making this fight happen.
Aspinall, 31, said: “We do have a meeting next week, things are looking very positive. “Jon Jones is an absolute d**k.”
Sources suggest that UFC executives are aiming to organize the Jones vs. Aspinall fight before autumn.
UFC 317, planned for June 28th in Las Vegas, is being considered as a potential date and location by Dana White and UFC leadership.
Dana White recently announced the promotion’s schedule for this highly anticipated unification match.
In an interview on The Jim Rome Show, White stated that the plan is for Aspinall to fight Jones this summer.

However, it’s been reported that Jones desires at least six months of preparation for the fight.
MMA reporter Ariel Helwani pointed out that time is becoming a constraint for a summer fight, as Jones’ requested six-month preparation period would push the fight to September. Helwani speculates that while financial incentives could expedite things, the summer timeline seems less likely.
Jon Jones, the former top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter, last fought in November at UFC 309, where he defended his undisputed title with a third-round TKO victory over former champion Stipe Miocic.
Tom Aspinall last competed in July at UFC 304 in Manchester, achieving a quick 60-second victory over Curtis Blaydes, avenging his previous loss in 2022.
